The firm’s 2026 Modern Wealth Survey, released Wednesday, showed that 60% of current crypto investors expect to invest more, compared with 56% for ETF investors, 52% for stock investors, 42% for bond investors, and 41% for mutual fund investors. Joe Vietri, Charles Schwab’s head of digital assets, said younger investors are driving much of the interest and momentum, while crypto is also being seen more often as a complement to traditional portfolios. The report also said one in five Americans currently owns cryptocurrency, with another one in five saying they do not own it yet but are interested in buying. Among investors, nearly half hold crypto. The online survey was conducted by Logica Research between Aug. 24 and Sept. 17, 2026, using a national sample of 2,000 Americans aged 21 to 75.20
